Home Away From Home.

Fashion Coach_Vidhi Reno,NV

Good Morning from yet another hotel room this time in Reno,Nevada. I have to admit that this post is very special for me as I am going to introduce you to my partner in crime who is also my soulmate, his name is Rohit. 🙂 As this is not a fashion post, I couldn’t resist anymore to share this photo of us both sitting here as we are having such a great time here in USA. Since, we travel so much lately it’s important for me to feel comfortable at every hotel we’re staying at. And to be honest I love visiting a new hotel every time even if we visit the same place since it gives me a whole new experience. I noticed that finding a place to stay that will satisfy all of your needs can sometimes be tricky, but if you do then your stay is always that much more enjoyable. After a busy day in Reno, it was great to come back to our hotel room to unwind at the The Silver Legacy Casino & Hotel. It is the perfect luxury boutique hotel whose location is perfect with its endless options for clubbing (slots, table games), dining, and entertainment. The whole place is intimate and has a lot of history attached to it, an interior that is vintage and I would say it has got the best lobby in comparison to other 5star resorts/hotels I have been to. It’s fun to look through everything! Somedays I just didn’t want to leave because I was so nice and cozy! It really felt like a home away from home.

What I especially like about Silver Legacy Hotel & Casino is my Suite Room, it was such a great space. The warm color palette and the vintage feel of our room and great view from the 27th floor was very comforting and I thought it was the perfect spot for some photos.

Being Sydneysider For 30 Days!

DSC00798

Hello Lovlies,

When I think of Australia I think of strong women Kylie Minogue , Miranda Kerr , Jessica Hart, Nicole Kidman. It’s great that country had a female Prime Minister too. It’s one of the countries I’d most like to live in. It’s full of nature and sports.  I think of good looking blonde men when I think of Australia. Everything looks beautiful here. Australian cities always seem to dominate lists of the world’s best places to live. However, I don’t think we take Australians that seriously. I see them as a nation of beach-bums. This country seems pretty isolated….doesn’t really feature in the global news too.  Well coming back to topic, my 30 days in Sydney were incredible and unforgettable. I could literary write a book about this topic. This city is located on Australia’s south-east coast, on the Tasman Sea. The city is built on hills surrounding one of the world’s largest natural harbours, Port Jackson, which is commonly known as Sydney Harbour, where the iconic Sydney Opera House and the Harbour Bridge are prominent structures.

Here I am sitting in Darling Harbour which one of the most happening places in downtown. It was a Friday and I couldn’t wait to spent my first weekend. I decided to start my day by doing little shopping for which I went to the famous Queen Victoria Mall in George Street. Turns out orange was my colour of the day, I completely fell in love with this dress. I paired it with my vintage-earrings,  pearl bracelet, Pierre Cardin watch and flat shoes. This dress made my long legs look even more fabulous. If you love the crochet work you will definitely love this dress. I was all set for pub-hopping or should I say pub-crawling 😉 There are endless places to hangout in Darling Harbour and George Street but since my partner studied and lived there for quite a while we had a road plan to which-all places we shall be rocking. Little did I know it was going to be one of the best days spent there in Sydney. 🙂 Right when we started to walk out I started receiving complements from random people while walking on  the road, while waiting for the signal to turn green, in the pubs and icing on the cake was when we were told that we will be featured in the website and Facebook page of “Three wise Monkeys.” Seemed like the night was not ending nor did we wanted it to end! Night was full of amazing food, drinks, music, dance, great ambiance, perfect company and perfect weather! Sydney now holds a special place in my heart. It is one of my favorite cities in the world.  I have endless memories of it which i keep reminiscing whenever I can. As I said I could write a book about my 30 days in Sydney but for now I am just discussing a single weekend here. 🙂 Please comment how you feel about this post, I’d love to hear from you.

Floral Love In A Spring Break.

DSC09684-001

Hello Everyone,

Its almost time to bid adios to this harsh and loud summer and welcome the monsoon. The feeling of the same brought a smile to my face as a rainy day in my city is beautiful. Maybe I am just monsoon ready! However, these pictures were taken when this year summer was approaching. This look is all about trousers. My love for printed trousers began few years back. Whether its embroided or printed I think it can pull an entire look together just like in this case.  That’s the reason I kept rest of the look simple with a black top and my favorite scarf. I even pair this floral trouser with a white shirt which I think turns out to be even better looking.

If you think I am smiling too much in the pics 😉 it’s because it was a heck of an eventful day for me. My day was planned as I was holidaying in Melbourne, Australia. It was a Saturday morning, it started with a healthy breakfast and then we went to Moomba Fest. Weather was just perfect it was all about bright sunshine, when most people will head to beach and do kite-surfing, para-sailing, flaunt their beach wears and get tan, and when you can be bare foot n wear flip-flops; unlike most days in Melbourne which are chilly, which makes you wear boots. Now that you are clued up to Moomba, the name translates to,”lets get together and have fun.”  It’s a traditional fest being held there since 1960s. The proof of it staying true to it’s title is their events list: Live music, DJs, comedy, workshops, rides, activities for children, eating stalls, my favorites being thrilling rides and carousel; and if someone is  itching to dance, Colombian acts , Colombian style dancing etc. etc. Then in the evening we headed to one of our favorite cafe “Lindt Chocolate Cafe” where I had heavenly chocolate coffee  followed by watching moon-lit cinema, a Disney movie,”Frozen” in the later evening. I feel we are never too old to watch a Disney movie. I love Disney! You shall read about my Mango-sweatshirt which is inspired by Disney in my upcoming blog soon. 🙂  Oh! n’ how can I forget, our night just ended perfectly with loads of FIREWORKS….best surprise ever! Leave a comment about how you feel about this post.

Keep Enjoying!
