Open a Champagne bottle this new year.

We all paln to celebrate this new year in style. Don’t we? So, here’s a quick tip for all you lovelies on how to open a Champagne bottle once the countdown to this new Year’s is zeroed. Turns out we’ve all been opening champagne wrong. Here’s the right way.

1/ Make sure the bottom of the bottle is very chilled – most that explode are warm.

2/ Take the foil off but leave the wire cap on. Grip the top with your left hand and put your thumb on the top, supporting the bottle against your body.

3/ Keep your left hand where it is and, with your right, gently undo the wire but don’t remove it.

4/ Holding the bottle still, turn your left hand clockwise and your right anti-clockwise, and the cork will pop off.
